Clinics and Summer Camp

In the spring we conduct several clinics on various phases of eventing;
dressage, cross country and stadium.
For example one of our clinicians was Mike Matson of USDF. An element
at the Dressage Rally and at Championships is the Musical Freestyle.
Individual riders can compete alone (Kur), in pairs (Pas de Deux) or in groups of 4 riders (Quadrille). The object is to match
your movements & the horse's gaits to music as you ride. A rider must complete specific required elements appropriate
to their level of competition during the "dance," but are otherwise free to combine movement & music. Watch
the video clip exhibiting a performance of a very nice leg yield followed by an extended trot, both upper level
requirements demonstrated by one of our members.
Summer Camp is a fun-filled three days, with riding clinics, games and educational activities
usually held at Frying Pan Park. View the demonstration below on a session where the Pony Clubbers learned how to ride
an Irish Bank.
